Wikileaks, Buyer goes ballistic, and Christine O’Donnell says she would vote for Hilary

[cleeng_content id="305940914" description="FPFT Premium Content" price="1.49" t="article"]A whole list of things to go over today, lets get right to it.

Wikileaks goes too far:250,000 documents of material. Everything from political he said/ she said to Saudi Arabia’s encouragement of attacking Iran. Informants exposed and put into mortal danger says one publication. This is one big mess and one that significantly compromises the security of military operations overseas. We’ve got soldiers that can’t even give details to their spouses and then we have this clown…

Wikileaks founder Julian Assange

putting Americans in harm’s way because it will “deter future war crimes” but Assange is one of the most notorious hackers in the world and is using his resources to release this information because 1) He can and 2) He likes the “Pub”. He’s going after a major U.S bank next, the Department of Justice is looking into espionage charges. This is dangerous and has everyone from George W. to Hilary Clinton calling for action…and speaking of Hilary.

Christine O’Donnell would vote for Hilary Clinton: Calm down, calm down, this video from morning mix (3:24) with Stephanopolus points out that the former Senate candidate from Delaware would pull for the former first lady and current Secretary of State, in a primary against President Barack Obama, because “anyone is better than Obama”. Comedian and Obama supporter D.L Hughley points out that Sarah Palin is not better than Obama and there is some light political sparring that follows. O’Donnell adds that she would of course support anyone from the Republican party that earns the nomination.

Anyone is better than Obama, including Hilary Clinton according to O'Donnell

Rep. Stephen Buyer (R) Indiana flips out on the house floor:: This guy in the video attached is why I’m happy about sending Dan Webster and Sandy Adams to Washington. The representative from Indiana goes ballistic on the house floor when the presiding Democrat hesitated before allowing Buyer to speak (there wasn’t even anyone there). “This is why you were thrown out of power!” he shouts.

I’ve dealt with Alan Grayson for the last two years, I’m picky about my rants on the house floor, you gotta throw some fury they’re way. I would have liked to have seen a little less Jerry Mcguire from this guy and a little more Al Pacino from “Scent of a Woman”.

Buyer should have used this as a guide before flipping out on the house floor.

Take care everyone![/cleeng_content]

Central Florida Politics with Frank Torres turns 1 year old!

One year ago yesterday, I wrote my first post on Central Florida Politics with Frank Torres. It wasn’t called that and the blog was attached to my business website, but it was a day that launched one of the most satisfying projects I’ve ever been involved in. I wanted to use this little blog to write about what people were thinking, but because they were a journalist or involved in political operations couldn’t say. Let’s take a quick look, a year ago…

- No one knew who Rick Scott was
- Tim Tebow was still a gator
- Charlie Crist was still a Republican
- Tiger Woods was about to enter the worst time of his life
- Teresa Jacobs wasn’t in the Orange County Mayor Race
- The unemployment rate? Well that has pretty much stayed the same

Bloggers can be very cynical and offer little useful information, if any at all, and while I offer plenty of jokes and funny pictures, I try to make sure that there is a little substance with each post. I think the reason why this blog works is because I love writing on it, and I tend to color in the missing spaces that often get overlooked.

Some of my favorite posts?

- When I wrote how important it would be for Marco Rubio to win the Senate race, despite where he came from and what his parents did.

- My first mayoral debate analysis. I went to half a dozen more but that first televised debate was my favorite.

- My experience with the census

- Jimmy Buffet comes to save us from the oil leak in the gulf.

- Can you believe Charlie Crist checking out
the ladies
on the beach was one of my most popular posts?

- and my last minute pep talk before the elections.

Thanks for keeping this blog relevant, its great being able to bring it to you. Lets hope that I’m celebrating many more.

Happy Birthday!

Ouch! President Obama injured during basketball game. Palin fires back at Barb Bush, Michelle Obama

How many readers out there have ever taken an elbow to the head during a basketball game? It hurts like heck and if you’ve never taken one I could best compare it to slamming your head into a garage door or the sharp corner of a kitchen cabinet.

On black Friday, when all of us were worried about taking elbows to the mouth from fellow shoppers for a $200 flat screen TV, President took an elbow to the lip from Rey Decerega. Decerega is the director of programs for the Hispanic congressional caucus (way to represent buddy, we’ll never hear the end of this one!). The President received over a dozen small stitches and finished his day trying to prevent World War III with North Korea.

Ouch!

The President wasn’t the only member of his family to take an unexpected hit.

Palin fires back at Barb Bush, criticizes Michelle Obama: : So, your girl Sarah Palin was on Laura Ingram’s radio show and decided to return fire with former first lady Barbara Bush.

“I don’t want to sort of concede that we have to get used to this kind of thing, because I don’t think the majority of Americans want to put up with the blue-bloods.

“And I say it with all due respect, because I love the Bushes, but the blue bloods who want to pick and chose their winners instead of allowing competition to pick and choose the winners. I don’t know if that kind of stuff is planned out but it is what it is, we deal with it, and as I say we forge ahead and we keep doing what we’re doing.” – Sarah Palin regarding Barbara Bush’s comments that she should stay in Alaska

Hey, she got one right.

I don’t want a President, or anyone running for President for that matter, to be staggered by snide comments, by someone who isn’t even in the picture anymore.

“Instead of a government thinking that they need to take over, make decisions for us according to some politician or politician’s wife’s priority, just leave us alone, get off our back, and allow us as individuals to exercise our own God-given rights to make our own decisions, and then our country gets back on the right track.” – Sarah Palin regarding Michelle Obama’s child anti-obesity program.

She also said that the first lady’s program had a tone that parents can’t be trusted to make decision for their own kids.

Childhood obesity isn’t on my radar, I just assume that we will all end up in those hover chairs in “Wall-E” that everyone flies around in.

Tell your kids to get off of the Xbox. There. Childhood obesity solved.

Depending how you feel about Palin, it’s either music to your ears or fingernails on a chalkboard.

I’m just glad she is giving me so much to write about after the elections.

What I’m Thankful for this year, Politically and otherwise

A fun “list” post about the things I’m happy for both politically and otherwise.

- God, Family, and Friends
- The soldiers defending my freedom overseas.
- The United States of America. The greatest country in the world.
- My lapdog Nikki, who no doubt is responsible for half of the traffic on this site.

I'm thankful for this teacup Chihuahua

- I’m thankful for Dan Webster’s patience.
- Yes, I’m also grateful for Alan Grayson’s “Saved our schools” and “Sopranos” knockoff commercials. The former was voted the worst political ad in the country. Article here.
- This Charlie Crist quote concerning his party change “That’s hurtful, you don’t know what’s in my heart”
- The Marco Rubio quote that preceded that “You didn’t change parties to defend your beliefs, you changed because you took a poll.”
- To have seen “The Social Network” the best movie I’ve seen this year.
- The Three football games on Thanksgiving. Patriots, Cowboys and Bengals are my picks.
- Rachel McAdams..

If she could only make better movies..

- Black Friday shopping. I’ll be out there, stay out of my way…you’ve been warned.

- Refudiate.

- The two great candidates, I walked for and supported this year.

- Texting during a nationally televised debate.

The political moment of the year in Florida?

- The opportunity to do analysis on television with the best political minds in Florida.

- Early voting. If you added the time it took me to vote in the primary and in the general elections, it would be under 20 minutes.

- A perfectly seasoned and cooked Turkey with stuffing.

- The Orlando media for being easy to work with and getting my hard working clients coverage.

- The Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade. Special Guest…Kanye West?!

If he has a float at the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade, I'm changing the channel

- Saturday Night Live’s political skits and Kristen Wiig as Nancy Pelosi.

Almost as good as Tina Fay's Palin

- Governor-elect Rick Scott’s slow jog from the press corp

- Central Florida Law enforcement and Teachers, still underpaid and still under appreciated.

- The possibility of bi-partisanship for next year.

The vending machines are over there....

- Christmas and finishing the year strong on personal and professional levels.

- My readers. You guys are awesome and I’m especially thankful for dropping by everyday to see whats new here. Have a great Thanksgiving!
