We head out to Seminole and Brevard Counties today, where we’ve got polling that indicates who’s got to upper hand in one of the regions Public Defender races.
In a poll conducted by Gravis Marketing, results show Ken Rhoden holding a double digit lead over his opponent Blaise Trettis, %57 to %42, from a group of almost 1500 surveyed.
Polls like this one are conducted all of the time in campaigns, and are an effective tool to gauge the direction the contest maybe headed.
As we move towards the primary elections, I’ll continue to keep you up to speed on as many races as possible.
Recent polling has Ken Rhoden holding a lead in the Seminole/Brevard race.
This poll is completely false!!!! Who did this so called “recent poll”??? Did Mr. Rhoden have somebody call all of his friends? No, the organization that did the poll is a complete fraud. Ken Rhoden was a registered democrat until 2010!!!! Ken Rhoden was divorced MULTIPLE times as well, he is just a decoy of a Democrat. Blaise Trettis is the proper choice on August 14th.
This so called “recent poll” was conducted by Gravis Marketing from Winter Springs. It made contact with over 2,800 registered republicans in Brevard & Seminole. The questions were straightforward and direct. You are welcome to call them directly they will be happy to discuss their ethical standards. I already did because I do my research before I open my mouth. I don’t know who I’m voting for yet but if you are representative of Trettis supporters I don’t want to be associated with that mess.
Ken Rhoden has lost every real poll in both Seminole and Brevard County. This poll is total rubbish, he must have purchasaed that result from a low level marketing company. I cannot believe that Ken Rhoden was a divorced Democrat his whole life and now claims to be a Republican? What a surprise though right, just saying anything to get elected. Vote for Blaise Trettis, the true conservative Republican his whole life.
LOL, just like he sent emails around his office asking his own employees to come to the polls and vote for him (sent by one of his own attorneys on the PD office system – I have a copy of it) I would expect his employees or family to post such B.S. Do your homework – call Gravis Marketing and ask them about the poll. It is statistically accurate and was professionally administered. Don’t follow blindly. If your eyes were open then you would know the definition of conservative and it is not Blaise. Like I said before, I haven’t decided who I am voting for but if this is what supporters of Blaise are like, I’m not interested in being part of that group.
Ken Rhoden will cut the size and cost of this office. He has extensive trial experience including capital cases. He is a successful business owner. Ken is tech savvy, actively volunteers in our community and supports term limits. Its no wonder Ken Rhoden has been endorsed by so many conservative organizations! He’s a great guy and the clear choice for the Public Defenders office.
The poll was done by a professional marketing firm called Gravis Marketing. It called Republicans registered to vote in Brevard & Seminole. Poll was 3 questions – are you a registered voter, are you planning to vote in aug 14 primary, and #3 Ken Rhoden and Blaise Trettis are running for Public Defender in Brevard and Seminole counties, which candidate are you likelier to vote for?. Question 3 was 15.3% higher response for Rhoden.
Regarding straw polls – they are less than 10% predictive of a winner in State level and lower races and they are only slightly better at predicting national level. They gauge best what the establishment of Republicans do and we all know that they vote with the incumbent who endorsed Blaise. There are 100,000 people NOT in the establishment that are voting, those are the people who count. Why not look at the last election cycle for example – Judge Simmons won every single straw poll. He isn’t a judge today and Linda Schoonover is a judge. Since we are correcting facts, Blaise has not won every straw poll – the one done in East Orange County went to Rhoden, both candidates were in attendance at that event. Funny, that is a different circuit so the incumbent wouldn’t have made phone calls to any establishment Republicans in that area. Everyone is entitled to their opinion however this poll is valid and had significantly more responses than are necessary to have a statistical sample. Gravis is a reputable company serving businesses and candidates across the U.S.
And in my personal opinion, I think it is rude and unprofessional to insult an active blogger like Frank Torres by insinuating that he would publish information before checking his facts and information.
So, it looks like the poll that I said earlier was B.S. turned out to be total B.S. All of the garbage that was put on the internet about Trettis was not enough slime to tarnish the election. Thank you Seminole and Brevard for making the right choice and thank you for not buying into the rubbish that Rhoden tried to sling. Thankfully, voters were not as stupid as you thought they were.
