The Republican National Convention kicks off tonight with keynote speaker, and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie taking the stage along with Ann Romney.
Officially, this is the second day of the RNC but organizers postponed the festivities yesterday to accommodate delegate travel and allow officials time to ensure all safety preparations were made with Tropical Storm Issac out in the gulf of Mexico, and heading towards Louisiana. Florida Governor Rick Scott, and Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal will be skipping the convention altogether.
Also speaking this evening will be former Romney rival Rick Santorum and House Speaker John Boehner.
