Orange County Young Democrats elect new officers

The Orange County Young Democrats elected new officers this evening at their meeting near downtown Orlando, and hope to do their part in helping the party achieve victory in 2016.

The new officers include:

President: Michelle Stile
Vice-President: Cliff Davy
Secretary: Renata Glebocki
Communications Director: Ricky Ly
Policy Director: Sarah Wissig

Stile takes over for outgoing President Kelly Quintero. OPO had the chance to talk to her about what her goals will be in the upcoming year….

“What I hope to accomplish is a lot of training. There are a lot of great opportunities, not just here in Orlando but nationwide, in terms of organizing, not just for political purposes but for community to make them better and stronger. By raising money, we can provide scholarships to send people who normally would not get those training opportunities, we’ll be able to send them to the Victory Fund training which really helps develop leadership and organization. Young people need a voice, we want to fight against guns on campus, we’re very disappointed in that.”
