Governor Rick Scott announced the appointment of State Representative Jason Brodeur (R-Sanford) to the Florida Government Efficiency Task Force.
The Task Force was created to develop recommendations for improving governmental operations and reducing costs. First established in 2007, the Task Force meets each fourth year and submits its recommendations to the chairperson and vice chairperson of the Legislative Budget Commission, the Governor, and the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.
Brodeur, 40, of Sanford, is the president and CEO of the Seminole County Regional Chamber of Commerce. He fills a vacant seat and is appointed for a term beginning June 26, 2015, and ending June 30, 2016. He also serves as the Chairman of the Health and Human Services Committee and was on the winning side of the Medicaid expansion debate this previous session.
