Julia Coakley, a 21 year old, Customer Service Representative for a local Resort Company, has filed to run for Florida House District 28.
Coakley, who grew up in the Oviedo area, states issues such as quality job growth and bank reforms as reasons for running and wants to create a better Florida for her young Son’s future. “I can best implement those reforms in the state as a Democrat” she told the Observer in a phone conversation.
She’ll challenge incumbent Jason Brodeur (R-Sanford) for the Seminole County seat. There is also a Libertarian primary taking place between regular Brodeur challenger Franklin Perez and Steven Edmonds.
