Former County Commissioner and Businessman Mike McLean kicked off his bid for Seminole County Clerk of Court with about $61,0000 in his first month.
The haul was anchored by a $50,000 self loan but, the remaining $11,000 is comparable to the fundraising numbers of both of his opponents.
Former County Commissioner Grant Maloy has raised $11,000, with $1,750 coming in September. He has all of it on hand.
Sammy Gibson has raised about $13,400 with $7,400 of it coming in September. He also has all of it on hand.
The three are running to replace incumbent Mary Anne Morse, who reportedly is retiring. While it’s rumored that she has told her staff, she has not made the information public.
