Former Seminole County Commissioner Grant Maloy has announced he has the petitions to become the first candidate on the ballot in the County Clerk/Comptroller race.
“I am very humbled to have so many wonderful people who have taken time out of their busy schedules to volunteer on the campaign and to the voters who have given me permission to run for this important offices” said Maloy, who’s reached the 2,661 signature requirement. ” This is truly a grassroots effort. No high paid consultants, marketing firms or mass mailings were used. We talked with voters one at a time”
Maloy adds he’ll continue to collect petitions to compensate for any petitions that could be kicked back by the Supervisor of Elections. He’s currently running against fellow former Seminole County Commissioner Mike McLean and Sammy Gibson. Last week, he was endorsed by incumbent Maryanne Morse who also announced her retirement (story HERE).
