Central Florida election updates and results


The election results held in both Orange and Seminole counties are in, and there were some head turning results.

In Orange County, Regina Hill received 943 votes with 50% of the overall total votes and won District 5. Jim Gray won his seat for District 1 with 1,601 votes and 53% of the overall total votes. Robert Stuart received 3,207 votes and 51% of the votes and won District 3.

In Seminole County, the results were unexpected for some. Richard Drummond received 1,087 votes and 53% of the total votes. Drummond won the Longwood Commission District 2 seat against Mike Dodane.

Abby Shoemaker received 1,217 votes and 58% of the total votes for the District 1 seat. She won against opponent John Maingot. Maingot was running for reelection for his seat on the Longwood City Commission.

Matt Morgan won the District 4 seat against Mark Weller. Morgan received 1,229 votes and 58% of the total votes for the district.

Oviedo’s new Mayor is Dominic Perampiere against Charlene Larney with 2,341 votes and 67% of the overall votes. Steve Henken won the race for Oviedo Councilman with 2,154 votes and 63% of the votes.
