WINTER SPRINGS, FL — David Smith announced today that the new City of Longwood Mayor Benjamin Paris, Seminole County Property Appraiser David Johnson and Seminole County Soil and Water Commissioner Edmund Young have endorsed his campaign for State Representative.

“As the only millennial Mayor in Seminole County and a member of the younger generation of Florida Politics, there are a number of attributes I look for in a candidate,” said Longwood Mayor Ben Paris. “They should possess a high degree of independent thought and the willingness to stand up for Liberty and Freedom, regardless of party. I do not take this act lightly, so it is with great pleasure and the utmost sincerity that I formally endorse Republican David Smith for Florida House District 28.”

David Smith has a proven track record as a Marine Corps officer, businessman and community servant,” said Seminole County Property Appraiser David Johnson. “He will make an outstanding State Representative for House District 28. I am honored to endorse his candidacy.”

After 30 years of service in the U.S. Marine Corps that included multiple deployments overseas, including a combat tour flying helicopters in Iraq, David retired from active duty and now works as a business consultant in Central Florida’s Simulation & Training industry. Although he is no longer in uniform, David is still dedicated to public service. He is active in Central Florida Veterans community and multiple local non-profit groups. David is a Paul Harris Fellow at the Winter Springs Rotary Club, a member of the Seminole County Regional Chamber of Commerce and a member of CrossLife Church.
