Adam Putnam has taken part in Florida’s annual Strawberry Festival for 22 consecutive years. This year, surrounded by dozens of volunteers, Putnam walked the parade route in Plant City as the leading Republican candidate for Governor.
“Florida’s Strawberry Festival is where it’s at,” said Putnam. “This is a celebration of the hard work of Florida’s growers. Through the years, we’ve battled weather, overbearing regulations from the federal government and unfair trade practices that favor foreign countries over American farmers. But Florida’s strawberry growers never give up. And when I’m their Governor, I’ll fight every day to put Florida first.”
Putnam started the day at the Farm Credit Salute to Strawberry Breakfast. Then, joined by dozens of volunteers, Putnam walked in the Strawberry Festival Grand Parade, which started in downtown Plant City at 1:00 p.m. and passed by the festival on its route.
