Three seats on the Casselberry City Commission will be up for grabs in an August 28th municipal election, and so far, only one person has filed to run.
One of the open seats is currently held by Sandra Solomon, who is completing her third term and cannot run again due to the city’s three consecutive term limit. Each member of the five-person board is elected at large and serves a four-year term. The position pays $11,005.39 per year. Candidates must have lived in Casselberry city limits continuously for a year preceding qualification.
The petition deadline for the nonpartisan race is April 17, and the qualifying period runs from May 21-25. Anyone interested in becoming a candidate should contact Casselberry City Clerk Donna Gardner at (407)262-7700 or firstname.lastname@example.org
