With less than a month to go before the Presidential primary on March 15th, volunteers for Businessman and GOP front-runner Donald Trump passed the 3,000 mark in lawn signs and bumper stickers given to supporters at a sign waving event, Saturday morning in South Orlando. The group has given out a total of about 3,150 stickers and signs at 3 sign wavings around different parts of Orange County.
“I’m supporting Mr. Trump because I believe he has the leadership qualities to get the people of this country behind the changes needed to make our country great again.” said Gary Ellis, who volunteered this morning with his wife, Jan.
Trump currently holds a comfortable lead in Florida polling, but with candidates likely to drop out after tonight’s South Carolina primary and party leadership reportedly nervous at the thought of a Trump nomination, there are challenges likely ahead. This morning’s event brought out volunteers from different parts of the Central Florida community
“As a Hispanic man and a Puertorrican who is an American citizen since birth I realize that Donald Trump is the most honest and trustworthy candidate.” said Dr. Leo Villalon “He is a businessman who knows how to run things and will place Puerto Rico on the map making America Great Again in all the issues.”
Trump is just one of the Presidential campaigns with a grassroots presence in the heart of the I-4 corridor. Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio have rival movements on the GOP side, and both Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders have operations up, in the fight for the Democratic nomination.
