Congresswoman Stephanie McMahon has written Small Business Administration lead Administrator Linda McMahon asking to work together to secure funding for small business development programs. The memo comes day after the Administrator toured the National Entrepreneur Center in Orlando and a tech company in Winter Springs, both located in Murphy’s 7th District.
Murphy praises the NEC’s one stop approach to helping small businesses grow, with several agencies dedicated to developing new initiatives located under the same roof. Two of those programs include SCORE and the UCF Small Business Development Center, both programs administered by the SBA and tied together for federal funding.
The Congresswoman currently sits on the House Small Business Subcomittee and recently requested “robust” funding for SBA connected programs and is asking McMahon to collaborate in securing those funds.
“When the Administration submits it’s comprehensive fiscal year 2018 budget request to congress in the coming weeks, I hope the SBA will seek strong funding for Entrepreneurial Development Programs.” says Murphy “These programs have a proven track record of helping thousands of entrepreneurs and small firms throughout the country including the NEC.”
McMahon’s assistance would go a long way in the process to secure funding. A Co-Founder of World Wrestling Entertainment with her Husband Vince, the McMahons also have a WWE operation located at Full Sail University and a long relationship with President Donald Trump.
