The Orange County Young Republicans will be hosting their 2nd Annual “Brews for Barks” Benefiting K9’s for Warriors later this month in Orlando. K9s For Warriors is the nation’s largest provider of service dogs to military veterans suffering from Post-traumatic Stress Disability, traumatic brain injury and/or military sexual trauma as a result of military service post-9/11.
The event will take place Saturday March 25th at Orlando Brewery near downtown beginning at 1PM and the public is invited.
“We’re honored to host this event for K9s for Warriors, to share their story and work of helping end veteran suicides by providing service canines.” says Orange County Young Republicans President, Nick Primrose “Many people don’t know that every day 22 veterans will commit suicide due to combat related trauma.”
There are different donation levels beginning at $10 which include food and deals on the many of the beers offered. Last year’s event was a success bringing in many supporters from all over Central Florida including Congressman Ron DeSantis, who has been pushing legislation in Washington promoting PTSD support programs.
“This event is a great way to focus on solving an epidemic that isn’t limited to political beliefs and every dollar we raise goes directly towards helping save veterans’ lives. We encourage everyone to join us at the event and show their support for our veterans.” added Primrose.
