Seminole County Clerk of Courts and Comptroller Maryanne Morse will be leaving office after 26 years of service in the office and has endorsed former Seminole County Commissioner Grant Maloy as her successor in the competitive race to replace her.
This week, Morse cut a webvideo for Maloy in favor of his candidacy saying “Last year when I made my decision not to run for reelection, my biggest dilemma is that I wanted to support someone who shared my philosophy and shared my belief system, but would also be a good watchdog for your tax dollars, this year I found that in an individual named Grant Maloy.”
Morse endorse Maloy earlier this year but with no clear front-runner in the race to succeed her has taken the extra step to help his campaign. Other candidates running include former Seminole County Commissioner Mike McLean and Sheriff’s Captain Sammy Gibson.
