Veterans Day Greetings from Your Central Florida Elected Officials

Here are some Veterans Day greetings from your Elected Officials in the region.

Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs posted this memo on FB

Here is a greeting from Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer

From Florida Governor Rick Scott

Florida Senator Marco Rubio issued a statement. Here is an excerpt.

“While we continue to enjoy the many freedoms this great country has to offer, let us remember that freedom is not free. It requires constant vigilance and sacrifice in its defense. And so this Monday, we honor those men and women who have selflessly and courageously served in our armed forces.”

“These service men and women are not just heroes, they are our heroes. It is because of their endless valor that America will forever be the land of the free, and home of the brave. So let us remember our veterans, their families and those actively serving – not just on Veterans Day, but every day.”

Congressman John Mica published these photos after attending an event earlier.

Congressman Daniel Webster said this through a statement:

“On Veterans Day, we honor the men and women who have selflessly served our great nation. I am humbled and grateful to remember the sacrifices that have been made by veterans for our safety and freedom. Since our founding, the United States military has not only faithfully defended our country, but also defended our friends around the world against their enemies. As a result of their unrelenting heroism, liberty continues to triumph over tyranny and terrorism.

“We owe our veterans a debt that we can never repay. It is my privilege to express appreciation and support for the members of our Armed Forces who have served our country so faithfully and sacrificed so much on our behalf.”

And of course from myself. I salute all of those who have served and on days like these, I’m so proud to be a part of the greatest country this world has ever known. I wish you a day of peace close to those who you care about
