With less than 24 hours to go, before voters head to the polls to determine it’s community’s next leader, 93 year old John Land, who’s been the Mayor of Apopka for most of the last 60 years, has announced a major endorsement from Florida Senator Marco Rubio.
In a statement released by the Land campaign, the 2016 GOP Presidential Hopeful has this to say..
“I’m supporting Mayor John Land for reelection because he supports helping everyone achieve the American dream. From farm workers to foliage growers, from young entrepreneurs to retirees.
John Land has fought for his country in the US Army, built a business that employed hundreds of people and has served Apopka as Mayor with distinction. He’s lived the American dream and now he’s trying to help the next generation live it as well. I’m proud to stand with John Land.”
Land faces Public Relations Consultant Joe Kilsheimer in what has become the main event for election night tomorrow. There have been accusations between the campaigns over conflicts of interests and controversial mailers (that story HERE and HERE). The two advanced to a run-off after no candidate got more than 50% of the vote in the 4 way election last month.
