State Representative Rene “Coach P” Plasencia (R-Orlando) and Orange County School Board Member Linda Korbert will be the speakers for a community conversation regarding education and the concerns of the public moving into 2015.
“In an effort to inform our constituents and gather feedback from them, Linda Kobert School Board Member and I have teamed up to bring you a community conversation on education. It can be difficult to understand the constant changes in education. This event will aim to bring clarity but more importantly its an opportunity to hear how you feel about our schools. Please go to www.all4schools.org and fill out the questionnaire.” Plasencia said in the event announcement on social media (link HERE).
Education was the main concern of the majority of the political campaigns during the 2014 election season. Plasencia has been pushing for reducing standardized testing for subjects with no paper or computer application. Governor Rick Scott has announced that he will be raising per pupil spending to it’s highest point in the state’s history.
The event is being hosted by the Alliance for Public Schools and the Orange County Council of the PTA.
