This evening at the Wyndham Orlando Resort, Orange County Property Appraiser Rick Singh delivered the State of I-Drive to business leaders in the community. Much like Orange County’s assessment earlier this year, the outlook was positive.
Singh presented a video to the capacity crowd illustrating the growth of the region over the last 20 years, and cited new technology, and continuing education for realtors as some of the advances his office had made over the past couple of years.
There was a Q/A session with a panel of business leaders from major resorts and businesses on I-drive. The panel was moderated by WFTV Channel 9 reporter Shannon Butler. Some of the questions fielded by the panel included it’s relationship with the county, advancements that could be seen in the future of I-drive, and it’s relationship with business in contacts in South America like Brazil.
Some of the major numbers to come up during Singh’s address included $1 billion dollars of current development taking place on I-Drive, an area that carries $11.5 billion dollars of market value, that generates $188 million dollars in tax revenue a year.
“That state of I-drive, is beyond strong” Singh said in his closing “The State of I-drive is in Overdrive. May the sun continue to shine on you, and may the sun continue to shine on I-Drive”
