Attorney Ryan Yadav has filed to run in Florida House District 30, against incumbent Bob Cortes (R-Longwood).
Yadav, a Democrat, will formally announce next week, in a phone conversation with OPO, he says “I’ve been encouraged by my family and friends. This is something I’ve always wanted to do. When I saw what happened last week in Tallahassee with everyone walking out 3 days early, I knew it was time.”
Yadav has a law practice in Seminole County and plans on running platform emphasizing education. His mother has been a Math teacher in the region for over 30 years, and his Wife is currently an instructor at Valencia State College.
Cortes was elected last November, beating Democrat Karen Castor-Dentel. Castor-Dentel, hasn’t ruled out a run next year telling the Observer…
“I haven’t made any decisions regarding my political future yet. I’m enjoying the work that I’m doing now with The Children’s Home Society of Florida. Although, I can certainly understand Ryan Yadav’s willingness to take on Rep. Bob Cortes, who is one of the Republican members who quit work last week when the going got tough. People in District 30 deserve someone who will work until the job is done.”
