Orlando Developer and Philanthropist Jim Pugh has donated $25,000 to a PAC connected to Mayor Buddy Dyer for his reelection bid to a 5th term.

The latest campaign finance reports show Pugh donated the money to “Moving Orlando Forward”, a PAC based in Tallahassee that was used to help Dyer roll to victory in 2012.

“Moving Orlando Forward” brought in 55K for June with the majority of the rest of the funds coming from developers and allies as well. Dallas-based construction company Balfour Beatty, which has several projects here in Orlando also donated $10,000.

Pugh was recently honored as the “Downtowner Of the Year” at a ceremony that took place at the building many believe he was responsible for making possible. His efforts for raising funds to make the Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center a reality, were essential in it’s completion and he’s been “out front” in efforts to secure funding necessary to complete the second phase as well.

The reports for Dyer’s individual campaign account are due soon, and is expected to also have some of the cities most influential listed as well. He currently has no filed opposition and is heavily favored for reelection.
