Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer raised $193,000 in the month of June, bringing the fundraising total for his reelection bid for a fifth term to $229,000 just 60 days into his campaign.
Dyer raised 138K in his individual campaign account, to join the $55,000 from his PAC “Moving Orlando Forward” for the complete haul.
While “Moving Orlando Forward” featured only a handful of large donations from developers (story HERE), his campaign account is slighter more diverse.
The companies listed on his fundraising supports are familiar names including $8000 from CNL, donations from Mears Transportations, CSX, and the Orlando Magic. Magic Team President Alex Martins, GM Rob Hennigan, and Magic Coach Scott Skiles all made donations to Dyer’s campaign.
There were donations from former lawmakers like Toni Jennings, Linda Chapin, as well as sitting public officials including City Commissioner Patty Sheehan, and Orange County Tax Collector Scott Randolph.
Also listed on the fundraising report was lobbying powerhouse Southern Strategies, the Central Florida Hotel and Lodging Association, local firefighting unions, and a full squad of Attorneys and Developers.
Dyer is currently unopposed for reelection.
