Orlando Congressional Delegation introduces Pulse resolution honoring Victims, Families, and First Responders

Representatives Darren Soto, Stephanie Murphy and Val Demings introduced a resolution in Congress today to commemorate the Pulse Nightclub tragedy as the world remembers and honors the victims, families, and first responders, one year after the tragedy took place.

“We will not forget the 49 men and women who were killed on June 16, 2016,” said Demings, whose district includes the Pulse night club.

The resolution remembers the victims and the community where the deadliest mass shooting in U.S history took place, while offering support to first responders and pledging to stand together against terrorism and hate. The resolution has 130 sponsors.

“We in Congress cannot forget the victims, the survivors, the first responders, and the communities that are shattered at the hands of domestic terrorists. We must ensure we do everything we can to prevent future mass shootings, and take care of the people who are left standing in the wake of such tragedies,” added Murphy and Soto.
