Florida Governor Rick Scott was in Orlando on Friday morning, when he announced that the “City Beautiful” continues to lead the state in job creation.
Scott held a press conference at Dusobox Design and Digitial Printing on the south side, where he had this remarks.
“I was proud to announce today that the Orlando area continues to lead the state in job creation at Dusobox, a Central Florida manufacturer that has created nearly 20 new jobs for Orlando families over the past year. I appreciate the Florida Legislature for working to establish the $85 million Florida Job Growth Grant Fund to ensure job creators and families have the resources and opportunities to succeed in our state.”
The Governor also announced that statewide, Florida has reached it’s lowest unemployment rate in 10 years dropping to 4.3%. Orlando’s unemployment rate drops even lower reaching 3.6%
Scott was also in Orlando on Thursday where he signed the controversial HB 7069 education bill in College Park. After the announcement this morning, Scott traveled to Miami to meet President Donald Trump on the tarmac before the Commander in Chief’s announcement on changes in Cuban policy.
