Gillum to Campaign With Broward Property Appraiser Marty Kiar

Broward County Property Appraiser Marty Kiar and Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum released statements endorsing one another today.  Gillum, a 2018 candidate for Governor of Florida, announced he would “get out on the campaign trail” with Kiar:

“Marty Kiar is a dedicated public servant that has tirelessly advocated on behalf of revitalizing Florida’s public school system and investing in early childhood education. I have always admired his spirit and leadership in South Florida, and I’m excited to get out on the campaign trail with him!” — Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum

Kiar offered similar sentiments, saying he was excited to “get out on the trail . . . to spread [Gillum’s] message all across the state!”  Kiar assured his South Floridian constituents that Gillum prioritizes the issues of South Floridians: climate change, education and healthcare, claiming Gillum will be “a champion for hardworking Floridians.”

“Today I am excited to announce my endorsement of Mayor Andrew Gillum for Governor of Florida! I know firsthand the challenges people in South Florida are facing, and I know that Andrew will fight everyday for us. Whether it’s protecting and expanding access to affordable healthcare, confronting the climate change crisis, or reinvesting in our public education system, Andrew will be a champion for hardworking Floridians. I can’t wait to get out on the trail with him this fall to spread his message all across the state! — Broward County Property Appraiser Marty Kiar

Gillum faces a tough Gubernatorial race, opposed by Chris King and front-runner Gwen Graham.
