OUC estimates entire service territory will have power by Friday

Hurricane Irma left millions of Floridians without power, but there is good news for Orlando Utilities Commission (OUC) customers: the utility company estimates that they will have power restored to their entire service territory by 10 p.m. on Friday, September 15th.

According to a post on the OUC Facebook page, as of 10 a.m. on Wednesday, they had 47,500 customers who still did not have power. An Outage Map on the website allows OUC customers to zoom in and see the estimated restoration day for their address.

An announcement on OUC’s website also states that they are not taking payments at this time and are not disconnecting anyone for nonpayment.
