Today, Seminole County Commissioner Bob Dallari, who served previously as Chairman,
threw his support behind Mike Miller for Congress in his campaign to unseat Democratic incumbent,
Stephanie Murphy, in Florida’s 7th Congressional District.
“Seminole County needs a strong leader in Congress to work to protect the recently passed tax cuts,
rebuild our military and honor our commitment to our veterans – and that person is Mike Miller. For
years those of us in Seminole County knew we could count on John Mica to listen to our issues and be a
strong advocate for us and I believe Mike will follow in that tradition.”
“I deeply appreciate Commissioner Dallari’s support. His reputation as a no nonsense fiscal conservative
is known throughout Seminole County and he will be very helpful to us in flipping this seat back to
Republican. I want to ensure that Seminole County residents have someone who’s on their side in
Washington, not just someone, like incumbent Democrat Murphy, who sides with Nancy Pelosi”, said
Running for public office for the first time in 2014 in a district that was evenly divided Republican and
Democrat, Mike was elected to the Florida House of Representatives by defeating the incumbent
Democrat. In 2016, Mike handily defeated his Democratic opponent in a district where Hillary Clinton
won by 12%.
“Mike knows how to win tough races in swing districts and we need a Republican nominee who has a
track record of winning,” continued Dallari.
