A second time candidate for the Soil and Water Board, McQuade pledges to bring more accountability, awareness, education, partnerships and sustainability to the Orange County Soil and Water Conservation District Board and the beautiful natural resources of Orange County.
“I’ve been attending meetings as a constituent, I’ve watched what the board is doing, and I’ve maintained my interest and commitment in the responsibilities of this position,” said McQuade. “I’m running because I want to do everything I can to make sure my kids, and your kids, have a great place to grow up and raise families of their own,”
Previously, McQuade has worked and volunteered for multiple causes that help the community. He oversaw partnership development for a non-profit, has worked with local schools to expand health and wellness education programs, fundraised for a local breast cancer charity, assisted a start-up textile recycling company and advocated to pass life-saving legislation. Currently, he works as a project manager enhancing communities and volunteers for child-focused non-profits.
“I have a strong background with experience in advocating for others, putting the greater good first, and bringing people together,” said McQuade. “I want to use these skills to expand on the education programs the Board has previously done and really grow awareness that leads to positive action.”
McQuade is building his website where constituents will be able to learn more and is excited for the opportunity to serve his county.
