BREAKING: Colonel (Ret.) Anthony “Tony” Sabb files to run for Orange County Mayor.

March 10, 2022 – (Orlando, Florida) Bronze star recipient and 25-year Army Veteran Anthony “Tony” Sabb has announced bid for Orange County, Florida, Mayor taking on incumbent Jerry Demings. “I believe in freedom. Freedom to run our own lives, raise our families without Government intervention and prosper with hard work. Our current Mayor illustrated, during this botched handling of the pandemic, he’s not fit for political leadership,” said Sabb.  WHAT:          Campaign kick-off for Anthony “Tony” Sabb for Orange County Mayor.  WHEN:           Tuesday, March 15th, 5pm – 7pm. Livingston StreetOrlando, FL 32801(Free Parking)  Sabb retired in 2008 and quickly gravitated towards working as a defense contractor where he supported US allied countries and fighting units abroad. Sabb, “I’m a naturally born leader. I’ve had the honor of serving our country and know I will serve the citizens of Orange County with passion and professionalism.”  Sabb continued, “We don’t need a Sheriff in the Mayor’s office. We need a uniter.” 
Sabb is supported by his family including a wife and three adult children. There are currently 3 people in the nonpartisan race for Mayor including the incumbent.

Anthony (Tony) Sabb Biography Tony Sabb, a native of Newark, NJ, received his US Army commission from theReserve Officer Training Corp (ROTC) at East Stroudsburg University, E. Stroudsburg, PA. in 1983 and entered active duty as a Second Lieutenant. After graduating from the US Army Field Artillery School and the Aviation Center of Excellence Flight School,
Tony’s career as an Army Aviator was underway. He was selected to command anAssault Helicopter Company in 1988, as a member of the 101 st Airborne Division, and returned to the 101 st Airborne Division 10 years later to command a UH-60 Blackhawk Helicopter Assault Battalion. In his role as Commander, he participated in numerous conflicts in defense of our nation including Operations Enduring Freedom, Desert Storm, and Iraqi freedom. These conflicts spanned the breadth of Tony’s Army career while he earned his Master’s in Business Management from Webster University, St. Louis MO and later attended the Air War College, Maxwell AFB, AL to earn anadditional Masters in Strategic Studies. Soon after completing his studies, Tony waspromoted to Colonel and was selected as the US Senior Operations officer of theNational Alliance Treaty Organization (NATO)Rapid Deployment Corps, Istanbul,Turkey.
Tony’s 25-year Army career culminated by receiving some of the US militaries’ highest awards and decorations to include the Legion of Merritt, two Bronze Stars, three Air Medals, and several expeditionary medals for participation in foreign wars. Tony is a graduate of the US Army Jump Master (Airborne) Course and the US Army Ranger Course.
Upon retirement in 2008, Tony began a career as a defense contractor where hesupported US allied countries and fighting units abroad. Tony lived and worked inAfghanistan and Saudi Arabia as a Program Manger supporting the 6 Special ForcesGroup training the newly formed Afghan National Army Commandos and as AviationTraining Director of the entire Saudi Arabia National Guard. Tony’s most recentposition was Program Director of an Orlando based communications company.
Tony is married to the former Beryl (Dena) Glanton of Dothan, AL and has three adult daughters, Dina Christophe, Kayce and Savanna.
