Update: The Grayson for Senate campaign released this statement on Tuesday morning.
“Rep. Alan Grayson and his wife Dr. Dena Grayson had a small, private wedding ceremony Sunday evening, with friends and family in attendance to celebrate their union, in the Florida beach town where Dena grew up.”
Biochemist and Candidate for Congress in Florida’s 9th District, Dr. Dena Minning, has changed all of her social media names to Dr. Dena Grayson, indicating she’s married or plans on marrying current CD 9 incumbent and candidate for Senate Alan Grayson.
At 10:43 on Monday night, Mrs. Grayson changed the names on her Campaign Facebook and Twitter accounts to Dena Grayson. For months, the two had been at the center of marriage rumors.
Dena Minning-Grayson is running or the Orange/Osceola currently held by her Husband, in a nationally watched Democratic primary which also includes State Senator Darren Soto, Grayson’s former District Director Susannah Randolph, and Businesswoman Valleri Crabtree. The only Republican to have qualified for the race is Businessman Wayne Liebnitzky. The layout of the district leans to the left, favoring the winner of the August Democratic primary.
Request for comment was made to the Minning campaign late Monday night. If a statement is made this article will be updated.
