Libertarian Candidate for Senate, Augustus Sol Invictus, has announced that his campaign for U.S Senate has been endorsed by William “Bill” Wohlsifer. Wohlsifer ran for Attorney General in 2014, and is the only member from the Libertarian Party to participate in a major debate in a statewide in recent years.
Invictus made national headlines earlier this year when he said he participated in a religious ceremony that involved killing a goat and drinking it’s blood. That controversy didn’t deter Wolhsifer’s support
“I said ‘Wow’ this is what the Libertarian Party of Florida needs.” Even if Invictus was a little extreme on some of the issues, he said the party failed to shape and assist a fellow Libertarian in his endeavor to be a U.S. Senator. “Fear of being demonized in the media persuaded them to kick Augustus to the curb; I was very offended by that.”
Invictus is running for the Libertarian nomination to challenge Incumbent Senator Marco Rubio in the November general election.
