State Senator Darren Soto has announced that his campaign for Congress in Florida’s 9th District has been endorsed by three Democratic Caucus Leaders.
Soto has garnered support from Vivian Rodriguez, The President of the Democratic Hispanic Caucus of Florida, Dr. Karen Green, the Vice-Chair of the Democratic Caribbean Caucus-Orlando branch, and Khorshed Hossain, the President of the American Muslim Democratic Caucus of Osceola.
“State Senator Darren Soto has been a proven, experienced leader in State Senate District 14, serving a large portion of the constituency living in Congressional District 9 for more than a decade. He is a champion in fighting for the rights of women, LGBT equality, Latinos, veterans, the disabled and all Americans. He is the right choice,” said Rodriguez, who’s been a long time supporter of the Soto campaign.
Soto is currently running in a competitive primary to replace Alan Grayson, who is running for Senate against Grayson’s wife, Dr. Dena Grayson, his former Congressional District Director, Susannah Randolph, and Businesswoman Valleri Crabtree.
“I am honored to receive the endorsement of these strong, progressive leaders within our Democratic party who represent our diversity,” said Soto. “Together, we will work to bring about equality for all people.”
