On Friday, State Senator Darren Soto announced that his campaign for Congress in Florida’s 9th District has been endorsed by the United Farm Workers of America and it’s Founder Dolores Huerta. The UFW is the largest farm workers union in America.
“As a state legislator, Soto has been a strong voice for the immigrant community.” said UFW President Arturo Rodriguez. “We look forward to working with him in Congress.”
Soto faces opposition from GOP Businessman Wayne Liebnitzsky in the 9th District seat, which includes parts of Orange, Osceola, and Polk counties.
“It’s a great honor to have earned the endorsement of United Farm Workers. An organization who’s core message is that nothing is impossible if you are courageous and work hard.” said Soto “That’s the ‘Si Se Puded’ message I plan to bring to Congress.”
